University College Worcester
Patrick McNally introduces an institution in the Midlands of growing national importance.
University College Worcester is the only Higher Education Institution in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and has a proud academic history that spans five decades. UCW is at the forefront of progressive developments in its chosen fields of higher education, scholarship and research nationally and internationally. We have over 8,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Our attractive, calm, friendly and green campus supports a vibrant, well-motivated community of students and staff. Facilities are modern and continuously improving. Recent developments include a £1m Digital Arts Centre, a new campus-wide wireless computer network and 'Modern Classroom' initiative.
UCW students enjoy their studies as well as their sports and cultural pursuits and, of course, their social lives. We place a strong emphasis on 'education for life' and this is reflected in the consistently high demand for our graduates in the employment market. We have strong links with firms and organisations in the business, creative, education and health communities in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and the surrounding areas.
