The fallacies of the historical myths used by South Africa to justify white domination in southern Africa have already been exposed by Shula Marks' article in History Today of January 1980. However these myths had tentacles spreading beyond the South African borders which have continued to thrive until now on the false assumptions of southern Africa being 'an empty land.'
