Why can’t I see full text when I have paid for a History Today digital or bundle subscription?
If this is your first subscription with History Today and you did not provide an email address during the order process, you will need to add one to your subscription for access. Please email subscriptions@historytoday.com quoting your subscription ID.
If you have sent in an order or phoned with payment, it may not yet have been processed. We will contact you by email when your online subscription is active.
If you are still seeing the paywall message despite having using the email address on your subscription to access the site, please email digital@historytoday.com and we’ll sort it out for you.
How can institutions access the History Today archive?
Online institutional access to our archive is available via two methods: Multiple Login and IP Access.
Multiple Login access requires users to obtain a username and password combination from the institutional administrator/library desk before logging on to gain access to the archive. IP Access allows users from a subscribing institution to be automatically logged on when they visit the website. This is done using a specified IP address / range supplied to us. Institutions may specify as many IP addresses/ranges as required. IP ranges can be sent to digital@historytoday.com.
I can't remember my password
If you can’t remember your password, you can easily request a new one. If you’ve requested a new password but haven’t received an email please check your junk or spam folders.
If you’re still struggling to gain access, email digital@historytoday.com and we can set you a temporary one enabling you to sign in and set a new password.
